Inflamed gums – gingivitis
Gingivitis is an advanced state of inflamed gums caused by the accumulation of plaque, due to a trauma, injury or as a result of microbial infection. It is a transitional state between inflamed gums and periodontitis (chronic inflammation, loss of teeth).

– Changes in the interdental spaces
Gingivitis can begin within two to four days with a small ulcer which is visible only under the histological examination, simultaneously with the accumulation of plaque, which can result from a poor oral hygiene. In this ulcer swelling occurs due to fluid retention, inflammatory cells accumulate and finally there is an incrased load of microbes (Candida sp., Streptococcus sp., etc.). If the condition is not under control, the edema increases, including a growing number of inflammatory cells and the rate of the disease is progressing rapidly. The disease can progress to further worse state only in two days. The worsening can be made by smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, injury (trauma), surgical procedures and status for them, contraception and regular intake of steroid hormones or because of other diseases and finally sports.
INFECTIVITY AND TOLERABILITY
Gingivitis can be transmitted by saliva, brush, which uses contagious person.
WHAT ARE THE TRIGGER FACTORS?
– Debt irregular and poor oral hygiene
– The accumulation of tartar
– Untreated infection
– A lack of vitamin ,
– Chronic diseases (diabetes, HIV infection, cardiovascular disease)
– Leukaemia
– Prolonged emotional stress

He will advise on appropriate interventions (removal of tartar), as well as the appropriate therapy (antibiotics, antifungals, mouthwash, etheric oils, toothpaste). It is very important to note that majority of precautions can be done by ourselves. This includes regular meals of healthy food, regular oral hygiene (brushing three times a day, brushing the tongue, the proper use of dental floss), and avoiding stress and get enough rest.

Release of active oxygen and the phenomenon of foaming contribute to the mechanical cleaning and removal of bacterial lesions, abscesses and deposits on the tongue.
